About the minimum value of the SNVS voltage of i.MX6UL

Dear all,

We want to use the SNVS function of i.MX6UL.

In i.MX6UL, Operating Range of VDD_SNVS_IN is 2.4V to 3.6V.

We investigate KL81 too.

The SNVS voltage of KL81 is 1.71V to 3.6V.

We think that i.MX6UL's SNVS Min value is bigger than KL81's Min value.

This Min value affects life of Battery.

Would you tell us the reason why i.MX6UL has a bigger value than KL81?

Hello,

  i.MX6 devices are processors (MPU) in contrast with Kinetis series, which is representative

of controller's family (MCU). Processors are more complicated devices and - at least today -

it is hard to lower the SNVS voltage.
