Dear All,

[Problem]

The Power mode of SATA can not be changed from the "Slumber" to "Active" condition.

[Condition]

Device : i.MX 6Dual

Board : Custom

[Description]

Write SATA_P0CMD[ICC]=1h to change into the "Active" condition.

After that, the value becomes 6h when reading SATA_0PSSTS[IPM] (not 1h).

[Question]

Refer to "53.3.5.2 Power Management Operations" in IMX6DQRM Rev 2, 06/2014.

When writing SATA_P0CMD[ICC] = 1 h, how does it request to change the "Active" state from i.MX6D to external SSD?

(Does it send a command from the host controller?)

Best Regards,

Keita

This might be possible effect of the i.MX6D/Q silicon errata ERR003766, ERR003772 or ERR007966. Please check.

Best Regards,

Artur

What version of the Linux BSP do you use? I remember there were some issues with SATA interface state transitions in some early releases of the Linux BSP. Please check in the corresponding Release Notes document.

Have a great day,
Artur

Dear Artur,

Hello. My customer isn't using the OS. (They tested the Non-OS.)

So, we want to know the relation of SATA_P0CMD[ICC] and i.MX6's operation.

Best Regards,

Keita
