Dear All,

Hello.

First, refer to Table 4-2. Muxing Options in IMX6SLRM(Rev.2) (Page.211).

Data bus width looks 16bit.

Next, refer to Table 20-1. EIM multiplexing  in IMX6SLRM(Rev.2) (Page.763).

The description looks can setting 32bit width with Non Multiplexed Address/Data Mode.

[Q1]

Which is right description?

Is it possible to configure the 32bit width in Non Multiplexed Address/Data Mode?

(Is it typo in Table 20-1?)

[Q2]

In case of one use the 32bit data bus, is it possible to set the 32bit bus the Multiplexed Address/Data mode?

Best Regards,

Keita

The i.MX6SL EIM supports 32-bit wide data bus in the multiplexed address/data bus mode only, and only 8/16-bit wide data bus in the non-multiplexed address/data bus mode.

Have a great day,
Artur

Actually, the EIM interface of the i.MX6SoloLite processor only supports 8/16-bit wide data bus. This is a typo in the manual about possible 32-bit wide data bus.

Have a great day,
Artur

Dear Artur,

Hello.

Refer to "Table 36. EIM Internal Module Multiplexing" in IMX6SLCEC(Rev.3).

It described 32bit access supported in Multiplexed Address/Data mode.

But, refer to Table 2. i.MX 6SoloLite Modules List.

The EIM NOR-FLASH / PSRAM provides:

• Support 16-bit (in muxed IO mode only) PSRAM memories (sync and async

operating modes), at slow frequency

• Support 16-bit (in muxed IO mode only) NOR-Flash memories, at slow

frequency

Please give me a right description both mode (Muxed and Non-muxed) asap.

This is very important things for my customer.

Best Regards,

Keita

Dear Artur,

Thank you for your reply.

>Actually, the EIM interface of the i.MX6SoloLite processor only supports 8/16-bit wide data bus.

Let me confirm again.

Is it possible to set the 32bit bus in the Multiplexed Address/Data mode in i.MX6SL?

Best Regards,

Keita
