Dear All,

Hello.

I have questions about EIM Bus Timing Parameters in i.MX6SL.

Refer to Table 37. EIM Bus Timing Parameters in IMX6SLCEC(Rev.3).

There aren't both specs min & max.

And the spec looks wrong.

On the other hand, there are both specs min & max in i.MX6DQ & i.MX6SDL data sheet.

Could you give me a correct specs?

Best Regards,

The specifications, given in the Table 37 of the IMX6SLCEC Rev.3 document, are correct. Everywhere the Min. or Max. values of a parameter (except of WE2 and WE3) are not specified, they seem to be meaningless. For WE2 and WE3, the Max. values are 0.6*t*(k+1). For all other cases, the unspecified Min. or Max. values depend on specific EIM configuration, including programmed number of a dummy cycles for a particular event on the EIM bus.

Have a great day,
Artur

Hi Artur,

I have additional questions.

Q1

> Everywhere the Min. or Max. values of a parameter (except of WE2 and WE3) are not specified, they seem to be meaningless.

Is it possible to guarantee operation by the min value more than 0 ?

*In the FPGA design, min/max both values are necessary.

And, in i.MX6DQ data sheet, the both value are described.

Q2.

Refer to WE11 spec in data sheet.

In i.MX6DQ data sheet :

WE11 : Min = 0.5 × t × (k+1) - 1.25

In i.MX6SL data sheet :

WE11 : Min = 0.5 × t × (k+1) / 2 - 1.25

Why is the spec of WE11 different?

Please tell me the correct specs.

(I think that i.MX6DQ and i.MX6SL are using the same module.)

Best Regards,

Keita

A. Yes.

A. WE11 : Min = 0.5 * t * (k+1) - 1.25 is the correct spec. There is a typo in

the i.MX6SL Data Sheet document, will be fixed in the further releases.

Have a great day,
Artur
