Dear team,

My customer is trying to get into RF-test mode with our 88W8997 but he got some issue.

He followed the UM11490 document and after compiling the driver from this Link.

after load drivers, he tried to change the mwlan/config into RF test mode by using the following command:

echo "rf_test_mode=1" >> /proc/mwlan/adpater0/config

but without success, please see the pic below

rt_test_mode.png

Please advise back on how to solve this issue, Thanks in advance

Kind regards,

Shai

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products,

What is the document revision your customer is looking at?

I'm not able to see the link that you mentioned to build the drivers with, could you please provide it?

Have you tried with 88W8987 on 8MMEVK and still fails?

What is the value for the below command before and after echoing rf test mode?

$ cat /proc/mwlan/adapterX/config

Thank you,

Regards

@JosephAtNXP Hello,

Please find my comments below:

What is the document revision your customer is looking at? Rev 2.0

I'm not able to see the link that you mentioned to build the drivers with, could you please provide it?

https://github.com/nxp-imx/imx-firmware/tree/lf-5.15.52_2.1.0/nxp

Have you tried 88W8987 on 8MMEVK and still fails?

Yes.

What is the value for the below command before and after echoing rf test mode?

see pic below, the after image is the same since we can not edit the file since the driver is "active"

if we could deactivate the driver in order to could edit the

/proc/mwlan/adapterX/config

 $ cat /proc/mwlan/adapter0/config$ cat /proc/mwlan/adapter0/config

Waiting for your kind feedback, many thanks.

KR,

Shai
