3 way video call on IMX6

Hi, I am looking to develop a 3 way video calling solution (VoIP) on IMX6 quad on Android.

It does not look like IMX6 has any support for video conferencing except for some video codecs. Is this correct? If so, can someone point me to a vendor that provides such a stack for IMX6 (we only need the video mixing stack not the control plane) or point me to any additional support IMX6 may provide?

Hello Rob,

The i.mx6 should support a 3 way video call with no problems, though as you said, we do not have anything other than video codecs (which in most cases H.264 is the one used for video conferencing).

It looks like Freescale also bundles GStreamer with the IMx6 platform (At least at linux level). It also looks like GST has been integrated with the imx6 hardware video encoders and decoders. So I could potentially go down the path of using GST for a video conferencing app (with the assumption that Freescale has integrated GST with the hardware accelerated codecs). Comments?
