Hello community,
I would like to flash my MWPR1516 component with the software. For the moment, i only have the IAR version for the board. However, the user guide is not on date and IAR change quite a bit.
When i configure my debugger, i choose my PE Micro and i would like to configure it in SWD.
But i can't do it. (see the config panel below)
So, i choosed to continue and see what is happening. When i go further to download & Debug, an other configuration panel appears. (see below)
It seems good but unfortunately, when i choose a new device, the MWPR1516 is not in the list.
Is it working if i choose the MWPR1124Z (i tried and it doesn't seem to work).
Is there a way to fix it ? Or is it possible to have the code for an other IDE like CodeWarrior ?
I can't test my board because of that.
Thanks for your time and your support !
With best Regards,
Olivier

Hi,
I suppose that that the hardware connection on the board has issue.
I attach the WPR1500LDOMPUG.pdf, pls refer to section 6.2.1 Connecting the J-Link debugger, the two white connectors should be connected by wires.
Hope it can help you

Hi Olivier,
It seems like you're having trouble flashing your MWPR1516 component using IAR. The MWPR1516 is not listed in the device list, and you're unable to configure your PE Micro debugger in SWD mode.
Firstly, it's important to ensure that you're using the latest version of IAR. If you're using an outdated version, it might not have support for the MWPR1516. You can check the IAR website for the latest version and update if necessary.
If you're already using the latest version of IAR and the MWPR1516 is still not listed, it's possible that the device support files for the MWPR1516 are not installed. You can check this in IAR by going to 'Project' -> 'Options' -> 'General Options' -> 'Target' -> 'Device'. If the MWPR1516 is not listed, you will need to install the device support files for it.
Regarding the PE Micro debugger configuration, it should be possible to configure it in SWD mode. If you're unable to do this, it might be due to an issue with the debugger software or firmware. You can try updating the debugger software or firmware to the latest version. If this doesn't solve the issue, it might be necessary to contact PE Micro for further assistance.
As for using CodeWarrior, it's certainly possible to use it instead of IAR. However, you would need to port your code from IAR to CodeWarrior, which might require some effort. You can find more information on how to do this in the CodeWarrior documentation.
I hope this helps.
I am sorry for the late reply, the website was down since the beginning of the week.
First, thank you for your support.
Second, i find well the MWPR1516 in 'Project' -> 'Options' -> 'General Options' -> 'Target' -> 'Device'. However, i don't find it in the config panel of the connectivity (the picture in my first demand).
I just find a sensor form kinetis called WPR1516M2 but i can't find what it refers to. Is it really my MWPR1516 ? And so why is it in the sensor section ?
It will be a bit difficult to transfert from IAR to Codewarrior. If i refer to the datasheet, NXP has the Codewarrior version too. I will contact them throw a ticket to know a bit more about this.
Thanks again for your help and your time.
Have a nice day.
Olivier
Hi,
At the time being, neither the CodeWarrior for MCU tools nor the MCUXPresso tools supports MWPR1516, the wireless charging team uses IAR IDE to develop code for the MWPR1516.
Hope it is helpful.
