FRDM-KW40Z board in RF test mode

Hi,

I have a FRDM-KW40Z board and I would like to set it up to do some RF testing.

For BLE, I would like to set the board to Direct Test Mode (DTM) in order to do Transmitter characteristic test. There is an application note, AN5179, for PHY test Using DTM but I couldn't find Apache_Prod_BringupPORT project.

I would like to set the board to transmit ZigBee as well for RF measurement.

Hi Antonio,

Thanks for the information! I am able to transmit/receive ZigBee/802.15.4 signal.

Is there any tool available for BLE?

For BLE there is the AN5179 that you have already looked at.
Please note it has been updated recently, and there is no anymore reference to the Apache_Prod_BringupPORT project, instead the hci_app is used.

Please download the KW40Z Connectivity Software HERE and use the Connectivity Test available at the following path C:\Freescale\KW40Z_Connectivity_Software_1.0.1\ConnSw\examples\smac\Connectivity_Test\frdmkw40z

Refer to the documentation file "MKW40ZSMACDAUG.pdf" to see how to run it.
