Hello NXP Team,

I am working on a project in which I am trying to integrate W8897 drivers for WiFi-BT. Browsing the NXP page for the firmware of W8897, I got the following 2 releases:

1. SD-WLAN-SD-BT-8897-AO_LINUX_4_9_70-BG4CT-W15.68.19.p59-15.26.19.p59-C4X15698_B0B1-GPL

2. SD-WLAN-SD-BT-8897-U16-MMC-W15.68.19.p59-15.26.19.p59-C4X15698_B0B1-GPL

I want to understand the differences between these 2 firmware releases. Is there any documentation mentioning the differences between these two?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Thanks for the reply.
I want to build the drivers for Synaptics BG4CT and I am using Ubuntu 18 as the host machine.

I checked the release notes but I could not find any relevant information regarding the differences between these 2 releases.

Hello,

If I understand correctly you are looking on how to use the Android in this case, there is a specific release of the driver for Android.

Also you can check the Getting Started with NXP-based Wireless Modules on i.MX 8M Quad EVK Running Android 12 OS – User manual

that might help you as a base.

Hello,

It is important to always check the release notes of the different drivers, in this case, whenever it is intended to use Ubuntu , you will need to use the U16.
