Hello,

   I would like to know if it is possible to achieve localization data of a mobile node via multilateration/trilateration/triangulation in Thread Network. I am new to 802.15.4. We have FRDM-KW41Z boards. As far as I read, triangulation is possible in a ZigBee network. I am now learning/working on Thread Network and checking Thread Demo applications in SDK_2.2_FRDM-KW41Z. I understand that in Thread network, an end device node can directly send message to only its parent router node. So I can not figure it out how to provide triangulation for a mobile end device. Is it possible?

Pure end device only could send packet to it's parent. But any REED device could store it's neighbors Link Margin information even when its role in Thread is a end device.
