I was wondering if Freescale offered an integrated RF Front End that might increase output power, receive sensitivity, and therefore range of its MC13234 wireless MCU. I noticed Texas Instruments offers the CC2592 2.4 GHz Range Extender for its products, and was wondering if Freescale has an analogous part that might be compatible with the MC13234. I don't see one offered, but maybe there is another solution that Freescale suggests that might compete with the +20 dBm output from the TI chip.

Thanks,

Matt

Dear Matt,

I am not familiar with TI’s CC2592 but there is a design developed by RFMD using the RF6555 and the MC1323x devices you may find useful. Please contact them directly for further details about the design.
