In the JN516x-EK004 Evaluation Kit, if I do not want to use the IoT Gateway, can I directly connect the coordinator node dongle to my PC?
Will it be able to pass data through UART0 (via the USB port) to the PC?
Is there any other way to pass data to PC, for example, if i want to store periodic light sensor data entries on my PC?

The coordinator binary only provides debug/log information to the UART. If you need to interact with the coordinator, a control bridge binary is required. This binary is basically used in the USB dongle of the gateway, but it can be used without it.

The #ZigBeeControlBridge (supporting ZHA) is provided in the AppNote JN-AN-1223. Search for it in the ZigBee Home Automation webpage.
