Hi all,

I have a plan to design new USB dongle JN5169 with PA SE2431L. Because cost down, I don't want to use IC 74HC1G32 (file attach). That mean JN5169 must control PA directly.

Is that possible???

Hi Giau, I hope you're doing well!

We have documentation and schematics for the different modules implementing JN516x MCUs, these show how eternal peripherals like the power amplifier are implemented in the different module variants, including the high power M05/M06 variants.

Reference for JN516x Modules can be found in JN-RD-6038.

These reference designs can be found here.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Best regards,

Sebastian

Thanks Sebastian,

I am referencing JN516x HP uFL Module in JN-RD-6038.

What happen if I don't use IC 74HC1G32? That mean (DIO3 -> CTX, DIO1 -> CPS, DIO2->CSD)

Hi Giau,

It's possible to not use the two 74HC1G32 OR gates, and instead connect them directly to the DIO pins, however, you would be limiting the possible FEM states as you would be reducing the number of combinations.

Still, we recommend including them.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Best regards,

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,
In the case connect them directly, how do I configure them?

Currently, they was connected: DIO3 -> CTX, DIO1 -> CPS, DIO2->CSD.

Thanks!

Hi Giau,

Our current stack implementation for JN devices relies on the inclusion of the OR gates (74HC1G32) included in the schematics to be able to change between the different functional modes of the PA. For this reason, we recommend including them in your design. The removal would be a custom implementation.

Best regards,

Sebastian
