Is the optimal channel and device on line?

I am developing some 3.0 devices with JN5169, the SDK is jn-sw-4170.

1、Can the coordinator automatically select the optimal channel for network construction?Routine 1216 should be a random channel.

2、How does the gateway determine if a device (router or enddevice) is online?

Hi Linklai, I hope you're doing well!

1. As a part of both, the ZigBee 3.0 and IEEE802.15.4, a process called Clear Channel Assessment (or CCA) is performed during the network creating steps to determine which channel is best for the network to be started on. This process is performed automatically.
2. The gateway device can send an Active Request to a specific device by using its short address to determine if it is currently powered and connected to the network.
