Getting FRDM-KW40Z development going on WIN10

Wireless People,

I’m trying to get a KW40Z working.   I’m following the steps on the “Getting Started” tab on the

“FRDM-KW40Z: Freescale Freedom Development Platform for Kinetis KW40Z/30Z/20Z MCUs”  web page.

When I go to load the driver I get a “Drive Could not be installed message”.  I expect this might be an unsigned driver problem.

Has anyone got this going on WIN10.

Thanks.

Jack

Hi Jack,

The driver that you are you mentioning is the mbed serial port driver, and is developed and maintained by ARM.

Please take a look at the link below and make sure that you followed the steps correctly.

Windows serial configuration - Handbook | mbed

Also, there is a topic about win10 compatibility issues:

windows 10 serial driver - Question | mbed

Hope this help you in solving the issue.

Mihai
