I am looking for a firmware for 88w8987 which supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth over the SDIO interface. The only firmware I can find in the imx-firmware repository is Wi-Fi over SDIO and BT over UART.

Is such a firmware available?

Hi Oliver, I hope you're doing well!

 

Currently, there're some firmware and SDK examples available for the i.MX RT1060 supporting 88W8987, however, at the moment, these only implement Wi-Fi communication at the moment. The module connects to the device using SDIO.

 

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, but Bluetooth functionality is not implemented in the current release for this device.

 

For more information, could you please take a look at the documentation and SDK examples included in the RT1060's SDK? It can be downloaded from here.
