Hello,

In the BLE Transport for IPv6 Datagrams Users Guide, i see the following diagram:

pastedImage_1.png

i am wondering would it be possible to build a local mesh using only 6LBR nodes instead of any 6LN?

The reason i am asking is that i need my mesh to extend internet reach for more than one hop, node<->node<->node..... so a star topology is not good enough for me.

Thanks,

Evgeny

Hi Evgeny

The configuration that you mentioned is not supported with in a 1Pv6, form the reference manual it says: IPv6 over Bluetooth supports only a hub-and-spokes topology

The topology that you mention (node<->node<->node) could be acomplish with BLE mesh, but it doesn't implement IPv6 yet.

Sorry for the inconveniences that this may cause you.

Best Regards

Jorge Alcala

Hi Jorge Alcala,

Are you aware of any plans for implementing IPv6 on top of BLE mesh?

Thanks,

Evgeny
