Hello Sir,

I will design WIFI USB Dongle with 88W8997.

(No BT, only use WIFI with USB interface(2.0 or 3.0))

In the NXP Web site, I can only find Linux/Android based driver.

Does it support also Windows(7/10/11) Driver?

- 88W8997 (WIFI=USB, No BT) + Windows Driver

Dear @isyu

NXP promote PCIe and SDIO interfaces for Wifi, because these interfaces are the ones most of our customers use.So we make SW releases for these interfaces on a very regular basis, and there SW release are available to every customers.

As USB interface is only used by very few customers, NXP make a very few SW releases, and restrict is to selected customers, based on their volumes forecasts.

Regards,

Olivier

Hello @ocourson Olivier,

I appreciate your kindness.

Could you do me one more favor?

You mentioned that "NXP only supports USB WIFI for very specific customers/cases".

Are there any criteria for applying it?

Regards/I.S

Dear @isyu

NXP only support Linux, Android and FreeRTOS hosts for our Wifi/BT chipsets. We have plans to support other RT OSs, but we do not support Windows.

Olivier
