[88W8987]: Labtool CMD32

Hello,

i have a couple of questions regarding the 88W8987 WLAN SoC in an RX test scenario in combination with the Labtool command CMD32.

CMD32 returns the packetCount, multicastCount and the errorCount.

I would like to measure the "receiver minimum input sensitivity" (unit: dBm) for an arbitrary IEEE standard, modulation, coding rate and frequency band, which are send to the 88W8987 WLAN SoC.

In the document ApplicationNote_LabtoolUserGuide_88W8987_-_Vx, January 2019.pdf various RX test scenarios are listed with the CMD32 as last step.

Is there a way to calculate the "receiver minimum input sensitivity" (unit dBm) from the CMD32 returned packet statistics?

Also:

CMD198 and CMD199 return the RSSI values.

Could you provide a RX test scenario similar to the ones in the Labtool user guide with these commands?

Because executing these instead of CMD32 just returns 0.

Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I hope you are doing great.

Did you solve your issue? Did you get the receiver minimum input sensitivity?

Regards,

Mario
