Dear NXP team,
according IW611 / IW612 datasheets, these devices support both WCI-2 and PTA external coexistence interfaces.
Thanks

Hi,
Could you please help me with the following information?
- What host are you using?
- OS version?
- What module are you using for IW612?
Regards,
Daniel.
Hi @DanielRuvalcaba,
we are planning to use NXP Yocto Scarthgap 2.0.0 with iMX8MP and both IW611 (Murata Type 2DL) and IW612 (Murata Type 2EL) depending on customers requirement.
According NXP and Murata datasheets both the modules are suitable.
Please let me know if you need further details.
Thanks
Best Regards
Pier
Thanks for the info.
The datasheet states “…when 802.15.4 is used, WCI-2 is the only interface available for coexistence with an external radio.”
According to the NXP Wireless SoC Features and Release Notes for Linux, at this moment external coexistence is not supported for IW61x.
Let me double check if we have something about this.
Regards,
Daniel.
Hi @DanielRuvalcaba,
thanks for pointing this out.
Could you please also check if there's any plan to support it ?
Best Regards
Pier
Hi @pierluigi_p ,
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. After crosschecking internally, seems the release notes have a typo.
IW61x does support external coexistence. I just raised a request to correct it.
Regards
Daniel.
Hi @DanielRuvalcaba,
thanks for the update, this is a great news.
Could you please share in which firmware release "External Coex" has been added ?
Best Regards
Pier
