Vybird VF610 Linux soft lockup at elevated temperatures (+ 47° C)

We have a custom board with a Freescale Vybrid VF610 chip and during Linux boot the system has a soft lockup.

Console dump:

...

mmc0: SDHCI controller on platform [sdhci-esdhc-imx.0] using ADMA
TCP cubic registered
NET: Registered protocol family 17
VFP support v0.3: implementor 41 architecture 2 part 30 variant 5 rev 1
snvs_rtc snvs_rtc.0: setting system clock to 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC (0)
BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 23s! [swapper:1]

This only happens when the board temperature is over 47 °C.

We then observe that when the Rx signal (SCI0_RX) is grounded the system boots and everything is working fine for temperatures over 47 °C.

Any help solving this issue is highly appreciated.

@Rikard
Hello,

    NXP does not support Vybrid Linux. "The Linux BSP and support is provided by Timesys."
