Help on Running the software from flash memory of Vybrid EVB(SCH-27419)

Hi All,

Currently My software is running from the DDR memory of SCH-27419 faraday evb. I just want to have the code in flash memory and want the software boot from there.

Please help me out on this.

Dear Sathishkumar,

I guess you are asking about the “Execute-In-Place (XIP)” booting mode – it is supported (see the “19.5.1.2 QuadSPI Serial Flash BOOT Operation” section of the “Vybrid Reference Manual, Rev. 5, 07/2013”):

"Both booting an XIP and non-XIP image is supported from serial flash. For XIP boot, the image has to be built for QuadSPI address space, and for non-XIP the image can be built to execute from DDR or SRAM."

Please, also take a look at the “19.5.1.6 QuadSPI boot flow chart”.
