Do I need two USB connection for MFGToolkit?

Dear community,

We have VF3x prototype, which we could program the on board QSPI chips with last MFGtoolkit SW. I noticed that I if I connect only VF3x USB(0), MFGtoolkit gives "no device connected message". If we also connect the openSDA USB, then MFGToolkit can identify the VF3x and can program it. This may be tolerable for prototype;

but for the production, Do I need both USB's?

Best regards.

Mehmet,

Is your board powered via OpenSDA USB?

I believe it is not required. I managed to program with MFGtoolkit my own board via USB0. Blank Spansion QSPI memory programs well. There's no OpenSDA on board, USB1 port is not used.

Regards

Edward

Dear Edward,

Thank you very much,

Yes I have both USB and a 5 Volt connector; There is only USB power(not openSDA, but USB0 of VF3x) at the moment. Did you use seperate power supply?

Best regards.

My board is selfpowered, not USB bus powered.
