Current electric energy storage systems on electric vehicles, cars or motorcycles, make them too heavy to compete with the gas powered ones.
But electric vehicles have a great advantage. The ability to control the applied torque individually to each wheel on acceleration or braking, without any mechanical limitation, can be an advantage towards a new level of vehicle body control, and even more if combined with electronic suspension control and active aerodynamics.
I hope to see in a near future a new technologically exciting breed of electric racing vehicles that can surpass in performance the gas powered ones.
