From the User Guide I see this -

Memory subsystem:
• SDRAM
• 3 DIMM slots, supports 2 GB per DIMM
• Supports DDR3 1866 UDIMM/RDIMM

But on my actual board that I bought it came to me pre-populated with 3 DIMMS and each of them was 8GBs each. And post bring up I see -

root@t4240rdb:~# free -h

total        used        free      shared  buff/cache   available

Mem:            23G         66M         23G        844K        103M         23G

Swap:            0B          0B          0B

I want to know what is the maximum amount of RAM that I can populate, bring up and utilize on the T4240RDB.

Thanks,

Elliot

At a maximum it is possible to install 3x 64GB four-rank DIMMs.

Considering that the T4240RDB DIMM slots use only two chip-selects (ranks), available will be only half of each DIMM.
