T4240: SRIO: Why only can see one SRIO controller by CW?

Hello,

Why only can see one SRIO controller by CW?

When I used CW to connect to board and see the register of T4240, I curiously find that there is only one

SRIO controller is listed out, then where is the other SRIO controller?

Below is the CW figure related to T4240 registers:

pastedImage_0.png

From the upper figure, we can only find one SRIO controller, but from the T4240 spec, should has

two SRIO controllers.

In the figure, should list as below:

SRIO1

SRIO2

Why here only list one SRIO controller? Does it need to do some configuration to enable the other one?

Could you please help to give some suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Carl

Hello Carl,

This is because only on SRIO controller defined in CodeWarrior product data base, if you need SRIO2 registers in CodeWarrior IDE, you need to add the configuration by yourself.

Please rename PowerPC_EABI_T4240.mwpdb as PowerPC_EABI_T4240.zip, define SRIO2.xml in PowerPC_EABI_T4240.zip->Registers->QorIQ->T4240->SRIO according to SRIO.xml and modify the layout file in DefaultLayout_cpuPowerPCBig.xml in PowerPC_EABI_T4240.zip->Registers->QorIQ->T4240.

It's also needed to define SRIO2 register details in PowerPC_EABI_T4240.zip->RegisterDetails->QorIQ->T4240.

Have a great day,
Yiping
