Hi,

Can you explain what does the "low-power version" and "standard version" mean in the tables 6 and 7 of the T2080 Datasheet Rev. 2 ?

Regards,

Mani

Power consumption of the low-power parts is smaller than the standard ones.

The difference between low-power and standard is shown in the product part number.

The low-power version part numbers end in "T1B", "P1B", and "QLB".

Hello Ufedor,

Is Low-power and standard parts are footprint and pinout compatible?

I am looking for T2080 to use in low-power mode. As per table-6&7 around 1W is the power saving.

Is there any other mode that we can enter to save more power?

If only one core is used, then for remaining three cores. there will be saving of 3x(PH10+PH15+PH20).

or can we consider PCL10 after for power saving mode (I have refereed to Table 10 of Datasheet) ?

PCL10 -->

LPM20 --> After the core and I/O interfaces have shut down, ASLEEP pin is asserted

LPM40 --> this section is not covered in RM, Is this sleep mode?

Mani

Hello Ufedor,

Thanks for your reply.

Can you let me know whether PCL10 be used for power saving i.e 3x(PH10+PH15+PH20+PCL10)

From datasheet, "PCL10 is a cluster power management state which cluster clock is gated off." IN RCW [509-511] HWA_CGA_M2_CLK_SEL, 101 bit setting refers to cluster clock. if this option is not selected then PCL10 can be used for power saving mode?

Regards,

Mani

You wrote that you need one core alive.

Please note that the processor has only one cluster consisting of four cores.
