Using Code warrior Tap tool, while creating QorIq Configuration Project, read SPD option shows error.
Even if I create an autoconfiguration file, with DIMM data from datasheet, in DDR validation tab, target connection cannot be made.
This is a custom board in which we have previously used lauterbach tool as well so I dont think there should be an issue in the jtag chain detection.
Processor is T1022 rev 1.1
Snapshots attached. Please advise.
Please confirm that valid RCW is present in the flash selected by cfg_rcw_src.
The board uses hardcoded RCW. In usual scenario cfg_rcw_src[0:8] is set to 0_0100_0101: SPI BOOT
i have also tried reading SPD with RCW values set as 0_1001_1110 (0x9E)
We were trying to diagnose this issue(thread below)
Hard coded RCW option cannot be used for the DDR validation:
Yes, but this is a working board where hardcoded RCW (from dipswitches) is copied to Flash at uboot and booting proceeds properly.
For DDR validation please use non-hard-coded option containing a valid RCW.
Please find attached uboot log containing print of RCW loaded in flash device.
After boot, I tried creating QorIQ project using read SPD option.
Reference QCVS DDR Tool User Guide Section 1.1.4.1 (https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/QCVS_DDR_User_Guide.pdf)
Since I'm using CWTAP over USB, I've left probe ID blank. (https://community.nxp.com/t5/CodeWarrior-for-QorIQ/Reading-DIMM-SPD-using-CW-10-5/m-p/467446/highlig...)
Attached screenshot of error.
Please close CodeWarrior IDE.
Run Windows Task Manager, check whether CodeWarrior Connection Server application is running and end the task.
Try to Read SPD again.
I have closed all Codewarrior IDE, Connection Server application in task manager, restarted it to create a new QORIq configuration project.
Attached snapshot of error. The run/pause LED on code warrior tool is red, TX/RX LED blinks green.
Also in snapshot is UART dump at time of read SPD.
Please stop the booting at U-Boot and try to read SPD after that.
Which NXP SDK is used?
SDK version 2.0 is being used. (2016.01-QorIQ-SDK-V2.0)
Confirm that JTAG interface is implemented exactly as shown in the AN4825 - T1040 Family Design Checklist, Figure 25. JTAG interface connection.
