Need to upgrade openjdk to 1.8 on a T4240 RDB box -- can anyone help?

I've looked at yocto/openembedded and tried to download the latest SDK from NXP with no success so far.

We need to upgrade the java runtime on our T4240 RDB machine to 1.8.

Any help would be appreciated.

SDK 2.0 supports both openjdk-7 and openjdk-8, you could use "bitbake java-test-image" to build the rootfs image of java support.

You could download SDK 2.0 from Linux® SDK for QorIQ ® Processors|NXP , please install both SOURCE and Cache binary ISOs "Source: QorIQ Linux SDK v2.0" and "Cache: QorIQ Linux SDK v2.0 PPCE6500 Yocto".
