How to support T1040D4RDB-PB in SDK 2.0?

I have a T1040D4RDB-PB board that I want to run SDK 2.0 on it. I see from the SDK 2.0 documentation that the latest SDK that is supported on the T1040D4RDB-PB is SDK 1.7. The T1040RDBD4-PA is supported on SDK's 1.8 thru 2.0. I thought the difference between the PA and PB versions is that the PA is rev 1.0 of the T1040 and PB is rev 1.1 so I'm surprised the 2.0 SDK doesn't support the PB version.

What are the differences between PA and PB? What issues will I face trying to get SDK 2.0 to work on a PB version?

The original question was support for the T1040D4RDB-PB in SDK 2.0.

The table in the document indicates that the PB version of the T1040D4RDB is only supported in SDK 1.6 and 1.7.

T1040/ T1020 N N N N N rev 1.0 rev 1.1 rev 1.1 rev 1.1 rev 1.1 rev 1.1 rev 1.1 rev 1.1

T1040RDBPB N N N N N ✔ ✔ N N N N N N

T1040D4RD B-PA N N N N N N N ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔

I need to be able to access the L2 switch settings which I believe was added in SDK 1.8 and above.

So I guess the question becomes what is different between the PA and PB versions of the T1040D4RDB hardware that prevents the PB version from being supported in SDK 2.0?

Or to put it another way, what needs to be done to get SDK 2.0 running on the PB version of the T1040D4RDB?

The SDK 2.0 supports the T1040 rev 1.1. See the Table 1 of the SDK 2.0-1703 documentation:

http://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/QORIQ-SDK-2.0-IC-REV0.pdf

It means that this SDK supports the T1040RDB-PB board.

Have a great day,
