Hi NXP forum,

I need to transfer a node locked license from a defunct XP laptop to a newer Win 7 desktop.  We purchased a full version of CodeWarrior Develpment Studio for HCS12(x) that we need a new activation for.  Can someone at NXP help me with this?

rgds,

Thank you for the reply, Jennie.  Unfortunately, my license is older (from the year 2005) didn't get transferred to your database and does not show up anywhere in my previous purchases or active licenses.  We need a way to generate a valid "license.dat" file for a new disk volume number.  Is there anyone I can e-mail to generate a license.dat file for a legacy Freescale compiler?

Jennie,

We were able to log in to NXPwith our purchasing agent's e-mail.  We were able to find the Compiler we ordered in the product list, and generate a new license.dat file using the online tools.  However, when we launch the CW IDE, we get a warning dialog that says "This is the last day of the current license."  Then it says we have to register the product.  This product is registered and the license should be valid.  How can we prevent this dialog from coming up?   We have spent multiple days trying to re-host this license and need a resolution to this issue.

rgds,

Gary

Jennie,

We do not use a dongle license.  We use a basic node-locked license that is tied to the hard disk volume ID.

Gary
