refering to http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?code=CW_LICENSE_FXDL_LMI&tid=vanLicenseManager...

We mention only ( Win200/XP or Solaris7,8,9 and linux redhat 8 ) for license server.

For CW PA itself we mention following list which is more serious.

"

  • Microsoft® Windows® XP (SP3) (32/64-bit) Home, Professional Operating

System

• Microsoft® Windows Vista® (SP2) (32/64-bit) Home Basic, Home Premium,

Business, Enterprise, Ultimate Operating System

• Microsoft® Windows 7 (32/64-bit) Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate

Operating System

• Microsoft® Windows 8 (32/64-bit)

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 (32/64-bit)

. Ubuntu 10.04 (64-bit), Ubuntu 10.10 (32/64-bit), Ubuntu 11.04 (64-bit), or Ubuntu

12.04 (32/64-bit)

• CentOS 6.3 (64-bit)

• SuSE 11 (32-bit)

• Fedora 18 (64-bit

"

Is anyone as an updated message for license server OSs ?

Hello Francois,

the Os supported for server and client are not the same.

The info given for the CW for PA 10.3 (last version) where the tool is installed so on clients.

For server, most of the time another PC is used to manage the floating license.

To manage the license on server side you must install Flexlm tool and our daemon.

The "License Manager installer" versions we proposed on our web site

      http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?code=CW_LICENSE_FXDL_LMI

are old and support:

Windows Win2000, WinXP
Solaris Solaris 7, Solaris 8, Solaris 9
Linux RedHat 8

These "License Manager Installer" versions include Flexlm and CodeWarrior daemons.

We've some customer using more recent Flexlm tool as FlexNet Publisher.

I've performed some tests on my side with Flexnet under Win 7 64 bit and with this config, the Pc defined as Server can manage the floating license without problem.

If you're using another Flexlm tool version, you must download the daemons at

      http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?code=CW_LICENSE_FXDL_VD

If you need more details, please provide us more details about the OS versions used on Server and clients.

Refer to Floating Licensing quick Start Manual:

      http://cache.freescale.com/files/soft_dev_tools/doc/user_guide/CW_FLOA_LICEN_UG.pdf

Hope this will help you.

Regards

Pascal
