replacement of FXLS8974

Hi,

My customer if currently using FXLS8974CFR3  and wondering if it would be replaced by FXLS8962AFR1 or FXLS8964AFR1.

Can you please advise? And what is the difference between them?

Hi Nick,

No. The FXLS8974CF targets industrial, medical and IoT market, the FXLS8964AF targets keyfob, and the FXLS8967AF targets non-safety automotive application other than keyfob.

The FXLS8964/67 are specifically PPAPed for automotive application, while the FXLS8974 is not.

Refer to below picture for differences on software side, all 3 variants have the same register map expect the FXLS8974 has a minor change on REF_UPDM bits in SDCD block which makes it better fit for slow motion detection in IoT.
