Best Regards!
James Lee
Hello James,
In the NVM are stored trim values, the MPL3115A2 does not allow to write and store any parameters or customer’s information.
Best regards,
Tomas
Hi tomas:
Thanks for your help.
If there is some nvm can be operated by customer?
Such as where to save the calibration data ?
Can mpl3115a2 save the value written by the user even after power failure? Is there such a register or address?
And The factory Calibration value should be save where in MPL3115A2?
Hello James,
The NVM of the MPL3115A2 is not accessible for customers.
The device is calibrated at the factory and in normal use, further calibration is not necessary.
However, in order to realize the highest possible accuracy, the device allows to override the factory set offset values after powerup.
The user adjustments are stored in volatile registers (0x2B – 0x2D).
The factory calibration values are not affected and are always used by default on power-up.
Best regards,
Tomas
Thanks for your help.
I seee what you said .
But how to understand the chapter 14.7 of the mpl3115A2's Manual as folowing :
This register contains the device identifier which is set to C4h by default. The value is
factory programmed. Consult the NXP factory for custom alternate values.
Best Regards& Thanks!
James Lee
Hello James,
Yes, the datasheet states “Consult the NXP factory for custom alternate values”, but your application would have to represent a big business opportunity to produce the MPL3115A2 with a different device ID.
In case you are interested, please provide more information about your application, volumes, production date and what device ID you would like?
Best regards,
Tomas
