I am looking for a pressure sensor for low pressure (20 mbar / 2 kPa w.r.t. ambient pressure) applications. The medium I will be measuring will be hydrogen. Can NXP pressure sensors (e.g. MPVZ4006G) be exposed to hydrogen gas without damage?
Hello Derk,
It is possible that such a small gas molecule could go around our gel and the RTV that holds the die to the package. Over time the device might not function correctly. So we cannot recommend it for this application, you would have to assume total liability.
