Hello,
we are using the MPX230xDT1 to monitor the pressure along a tube system.
While applying 5 V with a high-precision calibration source we measured this on Vout:
Sensor | Voltage in mV |
1 | 0,167 |
2 | 0,188 |
3 | 0,176 |
4 | 0,162 |
5 | 0,142 |
6 | 0,170 |
7 | 0,162 |
8 | 0,192 |
9 | 0,178 |
10 | 0,207 |
For our appliance this Offset is too big (never had this issue before). Is there any way to manipulate/control the Offset?
Best regards
Hello MBox,
I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.
We have a document that can be helpful, I would recommend you to follow the method mentioned in the application note AN1585 which is designed for uncompensated and not amplified pressure sensors, but you can skip this part and go directly to the amplification and offset control.
AN1585: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN1585.pdf
In this application note is discussed different types of compensation and calibration methods and also includes reference circuit for the offset adjustments and amplifier interface.
I also suggest the application note AN1325 as appropriate reading on choosing an amplification circuit and how to introduce a dc offset shift.
AN1325: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN1325.pdf
I hope this information helps.
Regards,
David
