Hi

We are using Guage sensors MXVP505GW & MXVP5050GC.

As per datasheet, we gave 2nd pin - 5V, 3rd Pin- GND and 4th pin Vout.

We tried to observe the output signal in the oscilloscope at Vout.

1> MXVP505GW: We observed the stable 280mV signal but when we close the top side Nob or blow the air into it we didn't observe any change in the signal. Is it a correct process we are following? or how can we observe the change in output?

2> MXVP5050GC: We are unable to see any voltage at output unlike MXVP505GW.

Please share the testing procedure to check output signal of these pressure Guage sensors.

Hi Chaitanya,

Did you mean MPXV5050?

since I cannot find any device with that part number (MXVP505GW)

If you did, the Vout follows the next formula:

1>Vout = Vs (0.018*P+0.04) ± error

      P: Pressure in kPa

      So maybe the pressure applied wasn't really high enough to be appreciated in the output.

2>The minimum pressure offset is around 88mV

HI Aldo,

The part number is MPXV5050GC6U.

We are not getting any output. Can you explain hoe we can test.

2> We bought Differential pressure sensor and we are getting the

output signal when we apply air pressure on top of the hole. but for

MPXV5050GC6U we are not sure hoe to pply pressure to get the ouput waveform

Hi again,

The MPXV5050GC6U only have one port in which yo can apply dry air, 

even if no pressure is applied you should be able to at least have the minimum voltage in the output ( Voff)

Min 0.088V / Typ 0.2V / Max 0.313V
