MPL3115 altitude accuracy over temperature

Hi,

I'm planning to use the MPL3115A2 in a low temperature environment(-20~30 degrees C) and wanted to know the accuracy of the altimeter under such conditions. Is the 0.3m accuracy still valid? Any caveats I should be aware of?

Hi Sree,

Please distinguish between accuracy and resolution.

0.3m is resolution the MPL3115A2 can achieve when using maximum oversampling (OS[2:0] = 0b111). This is valid over the whole operating temp range.

However, accuracy will likely be worse than the one specified in the datasheet (±0.4kPa).
