MMA8652fc tap detection without INT pins?

I am designing a board  with MMA8562fc and MSP430g2553 and the board should detect a double tap in z axis and turn on a LED when it happens. I didn't connect the INT pins, so i cannot use them. Does the tap detection feature work without these pins? Is it possible to read some register to check if the double tap has happened??

Hi Ville,

Yes, there is the DPE bit in the PULSE_SRC register (0x22) that will be set when a double tap event is detected.
