Hi all
I'm working with a mma8452 and my question is
Can the manual accelerometer be put under consumption by writing to the CTRL_RG1, lower ODR so that the consumption decreases?
or it is compulsory to follow the AN4074 to put the MMA8452q into low consumption

Hello Fernando,

Yes, low power can be achieved when the oversampling rate is reduced. The lowest power is achieved when MODS = 11 (CTRL_REG2 table 57 and 58 from datasheet) or when the sample rate is set to 1.56 Hz (CTRL_REG1 table 53 and 54 from datasheet).

The application note AN4074 will explain more about the Auto-Wake/Sleep feature of the sensor as well as the oversampling options. We truly recommend to check this application note for more information.
