Hello,
for my Project I use the KMZ60 Magnetic Sensor.
From the Datasheet I can read out, that a external magnetic field strength of minimum 25 kA/m is needed for measurement.
But it's not described where I need the 25 kA/m on the chip exactly. Maybe 1mm above the Chip or 2mm, 3mm ....
Or is this value just given, so that they can guarantee their specifications of the datasheet ?
Kind regards
Florian Ragg
Hi Florian,
The 25kA/m is the requirement at reading point as marked in the Fig16 and Fig 17 of datasheet(Fig 17 indicated the extra airgap inside package), this requirement is to ensure the specification of angle error.
For KMZ60 NXP is planning a PCN soon, your Disti partner should have received a advanced PCN already from NXP, in case you are planning some project qualification, I suggest that you contact your Disti partner or responsible NXP sales to request for samples with PCN implemented (available from Aug.2020 onwards).
Hope that is clear.
Regards,
Wenting
