I know the pinout of the MPX2202GP, but I don't know how to use it. I want to use it to detect a pressure value. Can you recommend a reference circuit for its usage?

Hi,

The MPX2202GP is a gauge pressure sensor that provides an analog output proportional to the applied pressure. It provides a typical full-scale output of 40 mV at 200 kPa, which makes amplification necessary before interfacing with an ADC or other measuring device.

All 4 pins of the MPX2010DP needs to be connected as below:

Pin 1: GND
Pin 2: Positive Output Voltage
Pin 3: Voltage Supply (10V recommended)
Pin 4: Negative Output Voltage

The output of this sensor is differential compensated, so as I wrote before, the sensor gives you a differential output in the range of millivolts and you need to add the amplification circuit before sending the sensor’s output signal to the MCU’s ADC.

In the attached AN1318 you can find some examples about how to interface the differential output of the pressure sensor to the MCU.

BRs, Tomas
