Both the A71CH and the SE050 are part of the NXP Plug & Trust portfolio of secure elements for IoT security.
On the one hand, the A71CH is a ready-to-use security IC for the IoT ecosystem. It is an ideal solution to deploy secure, zero-touch connectivity to public and private clouds, and to verify proof of origin and device attestation, among others.
On the other hand, the EdgeLock SE050 is the latest generation of secure elements for the IoT market. It is based on known values from A71CH, but offers enhanced security, even more flexibility, with an extended support package coming with more code examples and pre-integration with more MCUs and OSs. And also new use cases, especially for industrial applications, secure sensing and end-to-end protection.
