SM4.SEMA4.SWCHECK: Semaphore Software Check, how this safety mechanism can be implemented?

Is mcal is taking care of semaphore lock verification part?

Investigation was done via jira ticket and this case can be closed. The Fls driver uses an API that performs the SM4.SEMA4.SWCHECK check which was explained to the customer and also that any low-level SEMA4 API they use, they will need to properly check.

Hi Randy,

No the MCAL is not implemented this test. If the SEMA4 is used as a safety mechanisms by the customer they should try during their latent fault test at application to lock it and then access it and verify if the error is being received. It is easier to perfom this tet at application level specifically to the usage of the SEMA4.
