Coverage of listed in the FMEDA template Safety Mechanisms seems to be unsatisfactory low in relation to ASIL targets (max 20% in Flash FMEDA). For now we only have one document: MC9S12ZVxSM which is missing a lot of Safety Mechanisms to which FMEDA files refers. Can you provide us full description of Safety Mechanisms listed in FMEDA files?

Hi

The main safety mechanism for Flash is ECC which has 99% Diagnostic coverage. The software based self-test gives low coverage on some blocks and so it is pessimistically claimed at 20%. Overall the metrics are still met.

I recommend to look at the Safety Analysis Reports along with the FMEDA for details on safety mechanisms. I see that currently it is not published on the site. Give us couple of days and we will get it updated.
