Hi @UmaMaheswaraReddy

Summarizing, the PIDs are used to create multiple classes of cores, each in different domains. please refer to sections 19.5.5.2 (PID-based domain assignment) and 19.5.7.2 (DFMT0 PID-based domain assignment example) of the S32K3 reference manual.

Additionally, the S32G family has an XRDC module. This family has an application note that explains in more detail this module. I recommend you to use it as a reference.

IMPORTANT: The modules ARE SIMILAR, but they are NOT THE SAME, so you need to take care and consider the differences between the technologies.

Hi @UmaMaheswaraReddy

These define the access depending on the permissions. I am afraid that the S32K3 real-time drivers do not use the same terminology as the S32K3 reference manual, causing confusion and problems in finding the information.

Please refer to sections 19.5.6.7.1 (Access control model levels), 19.5.6.7.2 (Generation of secure attribute), and 19.5.6.8 (Domain ACP specification) of the S32K3xx Reference Manual, Rev. 8, for more information.

Thank you for the info.

I am also confused with the PID. Understood that PIDS are used for domain assignment and it is optional. I checked S32K3XX RM (XRDC) but I am unable to get clear info on this.

We have direct domain assignment. Why PID based domain assignment? In what/which cases we choose PID based domain assignment?
