Hello,

I am trying to send data over UART1 using the s32k144 evb (it is connected to my PC via OpenSDA), I tried to run the built-in LPUART example and it worked <the data were sent via the OpenSDA connection> 

I tried to connect the pins PTC7 and PTC6 to RS232 but it did not send any data.

is there any additional configuration needed to use the pins instead?

Hi

Please do not connect S32K LPUART pins directly to RS232 signals. You need an RS232 to TTL converter.

Hi

Please do not connect S32K LPUART pins directly to RS232 signals. You need an RS232 to TTL converter.

Can you observe the waveform sent by the PTC7 pin through a logic analyzer or an oscilloscope?

looks like the Rx & Tx connections of the TTL converter were not in the correct order.
