S32k358 CMU CAN wiring concern

Hello,

I am currently working with the S32k358 BMU. According to the datasheet, the S32k358 has three CAN ports, the VCU CAN, BJB CAN, and CMU CAN. However, only the VCU CAN has the D-sub connector while the BJB CAN and CMU CAN are using a 4-pin connector. But the wiring suggests that the only difference is that CMU CAN has an additional VBUS+ line.

Will it lead to any hardware failure if I only uses the CAN high, Low and GND with the VBUS+ wire disconnected?

Thanks.

Hi,

12V is output on this connectors to have a possibility to power external boards, you do not need it for CAN communication.
