Hi all,

We are working on ECC error handling (both in SRAM and in FLASH) for the S32K344 device, but I have not found the relative Ip Driver on RTD version 4.4.2.0.0 D2203.

I have seen that a few SDK examples are proposed for different devices (S32K31..).

Could we use these samples, with a few modifications if needed, with a S32K344 device?

Hi @ziomocci

There is not an specific Ip Driver on RTD for the ECC.

In the S32K1 the ECC errors are handled automatically by the EEE state machine. In S32K3, it has not HW state machine based EEE as the K1.
I suggest you to take a look to the these application notes:

S32K1 to S32K3 Migration Guidelines

S32K3 Memories Guide

Also, take a look to the User Manual for S32K3 FEE Driver included in the RTD.

Hi @VaneB,

I have found an S32K144 and tried both demo Applications from NXP, that is

erm_report_s32k144,

eim_injection_s32k144.

for observing the correct behaviors of EIM/ERM, but in both cases S32DS debugger stops here

ziomocci_0-1671554781869.png

Sencondly, I was trying to repeat the test with an S32K3 (configurations Word0/1 of EIM channels 0/1 are the same for both) w/o success.

So, is there a way to test those functionalities of injection and reporting?

It could be a safety problem for the controller.

I suggest you to take a look to the S32 Safety Software Framework (SAF) and Safety Peripheral Drivers (SPD) for the S32K3.

I hope this will help you.

Hi @VaneB,

I have solved the installation issue with the NXP internal support.

Now I am able to install the SAF EVAL version for the S32K344.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Andrea

Hi @VaneB ,

Your guide line does not work properly in my case.

First, I see only one package

ziomocci_0-1673336451368.png

whereas you are able to check two packages for installation.

Second, after clicking the "Next" button,

At the moment the problem is unresolved. Could be better to open a Support Request to NXP Technical Support?
