S32K148EVB issue with the part number of the MCU on the board

Hi,

I bought a S32K148EVB-Q176 several days ago,I have a question about the Ethernet part.

the datasheet mentions that the S32K148UA series does not have Ethernet support,As shown in the picture above.Both the S32K148EVB-Q176 schematic and things are using the S32K148UA series, As shown in the figure below.So can my board use Ethernet?

I assume it is OK. Anyway you can read SIM_SDID register, bit 3 of FEATURE field should indicate presence of ENET module.

I am considering purchasing a version of the S32K148UJ. The board has been returned to the agent and is currently unavailable fot testing. but I am in mainland of China, it is most convenient to buy through an agent. Look at many,basically are S32K148UA or S32K148HA,it would be best if I could get an accurate answer here.

Hi,

if you want to test ethernet, buy S32K148EVB-KIT version directly (https://www.nxp.com/part/S32K148EVB-KIT) as you will need ethernet PHY board as well.
